Merger of Jednota České Budějovice and Jednota Milevsko

Jednota, consumer cooperative České Budějovice acquires exclusive control over the consumer cooperative Jednota Milevsko. It thus acquires the fastest growing Jednota cooperative in the Czech Republic. In the district of Písek, 160 employees of Jednota Milevsko operate 33 stores and total sales in 2023 amounted to CZK 360 million.

Jednota in České Budějovice operates the Terno and Trefa store chains, including two stores with automatic 24/7 operation, a distribution centre and a food production plant. In 2023, it employed 800 people, had a turnover of over CZK 3 billion and EBITDA of CZK 40 million. The merger was approved by the Office for the Protection of Competition and the value of the transaction was not disclosed.
