Gabriel Marosi

Gabriel is a Director and Leader of the Financial Risk and Sustainability Advisory team at Deloitte Central Europe. He has more than 25 years of experience in the financial sector across Central and Eastern Europe, with a strong focus on risk management. Throughout his career, he has led the implementation of risk management frameworks at both group and local levels, contributed to the development of risk appetite frameworks, ICAAP, stress testing and risk pricing, and overseen the management of credit, operational, market and liquidity risks. He has extensive regulatory experience, particularly in implementing Basel II, IFRS 7 and 9 standards, and has led portfolio-level initiatives including the restructuring of non-performing assets and the management of analytical teams.

He has hands-on experience in building rating and predictive models for retail, corporate and public sector clients. In addition, he served as Group Sustainability Officer, where he was responsible for leading ESG initiatives and integrating climate risks into the bank’s strategy, risk management processes and credit policies, in line with the principles of UNEP FI and the Net-Zero Banking Alliance.
