Edita has been with Deloitte Legal since 2015 and is a Senior Associate in the IP & Technology practice. She specializes in intellectual property law, data protection and privacy, information technology law, and related regulatory and commercial matters, advising both on contentious and non-contentious issues.
She has extensive experience in international and domestic transfers and licensing of intellectual property rights, data protection compliance projects (including GDPR audits and implementation), and transactional work such as mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructurings, including legal due diligence in IP, IT and data protection areas. Edita regularly advises clients on the protection, registration and enforcement of intellectual property rights, including patents, copyright, trademarks and domain names, and supports clients throughout the entire patent lifecycle, from patent filing and registration to dispute resolution and litigation. She also has hands-on experience with IP disputes, litigation and arbitration, including cross-border matters.
In addition to her core IP and privacy practice, Edita advises clients on emerging legal issues related to new technologies, including the implementation of the EU AI Act. She has experience leading legal teams on complex projects and representing clients in high-stakes disputes.
Prior to joining Deloitte Legal, Edita worked for more than three years at a leading international law firm with a strong focus on intellectual property law. She is a member of the IP Law Section of the Czech Bar Association and other professional organizations active in the field of intellectual property and authors’ rights.
