Michalis Georgiou is a Senior Managing Associate of the firm.
Michalis graduated in 2013 from Queen Mary University London with an LL.B (Hons) degree. In 2014 he completed the LPC (Legal Practice Course) at BPP University in London with Distinction. He then joined Hadjianastassiou, Ioannides LLC as a pupil advocate in 2014 and upon his registration as an advocate in 2015, he has stayed on with the firm as an associate. In 2018 he was certified as a data protection officer (DPO Executives) by TUV Austria Hellas.
His main areas of practice include media law, employment law, data protection and general commercial law.
He regularly advises clients in the media and television industry, in relation to both production and regulation. He is part of the team responsible for the consolidation, redesign and creation of the statutory forms of the Companies Section of the Registrar of Companies and preparation and promotion of the necessary legislative reforms.
Michalis also deals with employment related issues, including the drafting of employment contracts, drafting and reviewing of HR policies, advising in relation to disciplinary actions and representing clients before the Employment Tribunal in relation to claims of unfair dismissal, both on behalf of employers and employees.
