Guideline for 2019 Deloitte Tax Championship 2nd round contest

Date: 31 August 2019, Saturday

Venue: Deloitte Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Taipei offices

Rules:

1. The 30 teams advanced to the 2^nd round will attend the competition at nearby Deloitte offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong or Taipei.
2. The 2^nd round contest is composed of two sessions: case study in the morning and brief presentation in the afternoon.
3. In the case study session, each participating team will analyze a given simulated business case, then come out with an electronic analysis report. The report should be prepared in Chinese and Word format.
4. In the afternoon, each team will make a brief presentation on a given topic in English and all members of the team must participate.
5. There will be a draw to divide the mainland teams into 3 groups on the competition day. The top 2 teams of each group plus 3 more teams with next highest scores, totaling 9 teams, will qualify for the national contest. Meanwhile, top 2 teams from Hong Kong and Macau, together with 2 more top teams from Taiwan will also enter the national contest. The result of the 2^nd round contest will be announced within 1 week of the competition day.
