Work-life balance

We want our people to be the best they can be, inside and outside the office. That's why we offer a flexible, supportive environment and a generous annual leave package that gives you the chance to rest, relax, and spend time on the things that matter to you.

Wellness matters. Deloitte supports your wellbeing in mind, body, and purpose. Our employee assistance services, prevention, and promotion sessions help you sustain performance, creativity and relationships. We also provide family emergency support and parent critical illness policies to help relieve your burden. You'll have opportunities to connect our purpose to the aspects of your community and society that matter to you via Staff Club, Women of Impact, and other initiatives.

We’re also here to help you overcome the occasional “bump in the road” we can all encounter. Our Employee Assistance Program offers 24-hour access to a telephone helpline where you can talk through any personal concerns in confidence.

 

A dynamic, diverse, and inclusive environment

We make sure you have plenty of opportunities to connect with your colleagues through sports and social events. Our offices in different regions organize activities including birthday parties, regular running clubs, dragon boat racing, and charitable activities, including work with underserved communities, for everyone to take part in. We help our people preserve their physical and mental wellness.

 

Charitable 8 Hours

Every year, we give our people time to do volunteer work—eight working hours to be exact. Our colleagues contribute their time in different ways. Some join Deloitte National IMPACT Day activities, some act as mentors to students, while others serve non-profit organizations close to their hearts. We encourage our people to give back to their communities and make an impact that matters.

 

Deloitte Foundation and WorldClass

In 2015, we stepped up our commitment to "doing good" and established the Deloitte Foundation to centralize the management of philanthropic donations and effectively support our corporate responsibility programs. We aim to make an impact that matters for society and live our purpose by contributing our skills, knowledge, and business acumen to help solve some of the world’s toughest societal issues. We welcome everyone who wants to take an active part in WorldClass, an organization-wide, global initiative to empower 100 million people to succeed by 2030 through education and skills development. 

 

WorldClimate

In response to the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals in China, WorldClimate focuses on driving responsible climate choices within our organization and beyond, creating solutions that facilitate the transition to a low carbon economy so as to bring professional insights and strengths to the harmony between economy and environment.

Mitigating the impacts of climate change is a monumental task. Yet, we know progress is possible if we act collectively. It is vital that business and society all take urgent and immediate action.

We believe change starts within. Deloitte China is committed to taking measurable, decisive action on climate change, empowering Deloitte professionals and engaging the broader ecosystem to create solutions that facilitate the transition to a low carbon economy. To further implement this, Deloitte China has launched WorldClimate and focuses on the following four aspects:

  • Net-zero with 2030 goals
  • Embed sustainability
  • Empower individuals
  • Engage ecosystems

 

Impact Journey at Deloitte

Deloitte Foundation serves as a platform for you to make a social impact. Here are many ways for you to get involved in charitable programs, including becoming a volunteer for our corporate responsibility programs, contributing your network or ideas in making social impacts, joining as a WorldClass or WorldClimate Champion to drive impactful initiatives together, building an impact Committee Team with colleagues, and joining the One Young World Summit delegation. We would love to collaborate with our people to make a positive contribution to society.

One Young World

Deloitte is proud to collaborate with One Young World, a non-profit organization that connects global young leaders and promotes responsible leadership. Every year, we send potential young social leaders to represent Deloitte to attend the One Young World Summit overseas to discuss important social issues. In 2022, we have had the honor of sending three outstanding youth representatives from Deloitte China to the summit held in Manchester, UK.
