On 8 November, more than 400 regional and global Deloitte leaders including Global Chair Anna Marks, Asia Pacific CEO David Hill, Asia Pacific Chair Dennis Chow, China CEO Patrick Tsang and China Chair Vivian Jiang, gathered in Hong Kong for our Asia Pacific Leadership Summit (APLS) 2023 Plenary.
The event was graced by the Honorable Mr. John KC Lee, Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR of the People’s Republic of China, Mrs. Laura M Cha, Chairman of Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing, and distinguished leaders from Hong Kong’s business community.
In his keynote speech, Mr. Lee congratulated Deloitte on choosing Hong Kong to host APLS 2023 and set out why the city is the ideal location for professionals and leaders to do business and prosper.
Acclaiming the Chief Executive’s commitment to strengthen Hong Kong’s “one country, two systems” advantages and capture growth opportunities in the city’s role as an international financial center and global innovation and technology hub, Patrick Tsang reinforced Deloitte’s unstinting commitment to support the future growth of Hong Kong, which continues to be a pivotal market for Deloitte at a global level.
In a fireside chat, Deloitte Southeast Asia CEO Eugene Ho joined Mrs. Cha to discuss how Hong Kong’s capital market can support regional innovation and help drive the low carbon transition.
And in the first speech of the day, Vivian Jiang welcomed attendees to Hong Kong and introduced INspire HK – a HKD1 billion strategic investment in Deloitte China’s Hong Kong practice to advance its multidisciplinary services model, enhance talent development and strengthen Deloitte’s position as an innovation-powered, one-stop leading professional services firm.
