Robert Lui is a Partner and Governing Board Member of Deloitte China, where he serves as Capital Market Services Group Southern Region Offering Services Leader, HK Digital Asset Leader, HK Government & Public Services Industry Leader, and HK Growth and Markets Leader.
With more than 25 years of multidisciplinary experience, Robert has led IPOs for over 50 companies listed on the HK Stock Exchange and delivered audit & assurance, digitalization, and M&A services for listed companies and growth enterprises across industries. He oversees Deloitte's digital asset business in HK, collaborating with regulators and supporting platforms, custodians, and asset managers on audit, licensing, and compliance engagements. He also leads Deloitte's HK Government & Public Services practice, serving public sector clients including government bureaus and agencies, as well as education institutions.
Robert has broad insights into society and industry development through his public and professional appointments. In addition to serving as a standing member of the Hainan Provincial Committee under the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Robert is appointed by HKSAR government as Member of Expert Committee on Professional Services for Going Global, Member of Task Force on Promoting Web3 Development, Stablecoin Review Tribunal Panel Member, City University of HK (CityUHK) Council Member, Hospital Governing Committee Chairman at Castle Peak Hospital and Siu Lam Hospital under the Hospital Authority (HA). He is Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), Board Director of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSI), and Independent Director of Volleyball Association of Hong Kong, China.
Robert serves on audit and finance committees of various organizations, including as Audit Committee Chairman of the CityUHK and the Football Association of Hong Kong, China; HA's Finance Committee Member; and Audit Committee Member of the China Hong Kong Paralympic Committee and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. Moreover, he previously served as Greater China Divisional President of CPA Australia and the HKICPA's Greater Bay Area Committee Chairman.
Robert is a Practising Member of the HKICPA, Fellow Certified Public Accountant (FCPA) of CPA Australia, and Senior Fellow (SFHKSI) of the HKSI. He is an Adjunct Professor of the School of Accounting & Finance of the HK Polytechnic University and a recipient of the CityUHK College of Business Distinguished Alumni Award.
