Pascal Hua is the National Managing Partner of Deloitte Consulting Businesses in China and serves as Board Director for Deloitte Asia Pacific. He has over 25 years of solid business experience, dedicated in the consulting business, focused on Automotive, Consumer Product and Retail sectors.
Prior to his current role, Pascal was the Asia Pacific Leader of Deloitte's Digital and the National Leader of Technology & Transformation at Deloitte Consulting China, where he led numerous large-scale digital transformation and system implementation projects for major enterprises.
As an advocate for enterprise-grade AI applications, Pascal’s work centres on moving AI from an experimental tool to a core engine of enterprise value, specifically tackling the human and operational frictions that hold companies back. He is a frequent speaker at the Boao Forum for Asia and the World Artificial Intelligence Conference, where he delivered insights on topics such as "AI in Action" , "AI Reshaping Enterprise Competitiveness," and "Digital Organizational Transformation," and offering forward-looking perspectives for high-quality industry development and intelligent transformation.
Pascal co-authored research published in the Harvard Business Review titled "Overcoming the Organizational Barriers to AI Adoption”. This research demonstrates that AI initiatives primarily fail due to rigid workflows, political corporate structures, and employee fear of replacement, rather than technical shortcomings. He oversees initiatives linked to the HKU and Deloitte China AI Adoption Index, a joint data-driven index created via the Deloitte-HKU Lab for AI Organizational Transformation to evaluate real-world AI impacts among C-suite leaders in China and Hong Kong.
