I will be attending University of North Georgia as a freshman to start my bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 

I chose Deloitte because of their phenomenal reputation as well as the warm and welcoming work environment. Deloitte’s onboarding was top-notch, and the mentorship team was genuinely invested in my growth. They provided guidance and insights beyond my immediate tasks, making me feel like a valued team member.

The challenging work allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings, enhancing my learning and confidence.  Deloitte is a caring employer prioritizing employee well-being in a friendly and professional work environment. The approachable staff made my internship enjoyable and rewarding.

 As I work toward becoming a Certified Public Accountant, I’ve attained an Associate’s degree in accounting and I’m now a fourth-year accounting student at York University in Canada. I recognize that accounting is not just about technical knowledge but also about real-world experience, so I have dabbled in opportunities along the way to gain this. My drive for continuous growth led me to apply for the Deloitte scholarship and subsequently join the firm’s internship program. 

During my time at Deloitte, I was truly impressed by the intentional and supportive learning environment. The experience allowed me to bring classroom knowledge to life while providing new challenges that pushed me outside my comfort zone. What stood out most was Deloitte’s strong sense of community. With the diverse set of professionals, I received invaluable guidance from others who have walked similar career paths as me. Beyond the office, Deloitte’s support has extended to my studies abroad, ensuring that I not only continue to thrive academically, but I am also mentally sound. Overall, I am excited to continue developing my skills and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.

Deloitte’s scholarship program provides endless support to their recipients. Being a company that puts their students first, it only made sense to choose Deloitte to start off my professional journey. My internship experience also played a large part in giving me an outlet to interact with professionals in the industry and working alongside people who could give me crucial guidance in the next stage of my life. 

In school life, I was a Head Boy and I participated in extracurriculars such as: Vice President of Key Club, a co-leader in the creation of the Inclusion Diversity and Well Being network and a member of many school music clubs. In my free time I enjoy watching sports or learning how to play new instruments.

My favorite part about Deloitte is their commitment to employee growth, and I look forward to utilizing this as a 2024 Deloitte scholar.
