WorldClass: Empowering 100 million people

Education unlocks the potential of individuals and serves as the cornerstone of a thriving, progressive society. Investing in education and skills will help millions of people achieve their full potential, who are otherwise limited by resources. We are committed to the advancement of society by championing accessible education that creates pathways to opportunity, innovation, and lasting progress for all.

The future is unprecedented, marked with unforeseen challenges. We would need skilled leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs to overcome these challenges and lead to newer developments for a successful, sustainable society. At Deloitte, we are investing in innovative solutions that foster education, digital skills development, and provide training with the underlying purpose of collective progress in the modern economy.

At Deloitte Caribbean and Bermuda, we are committed to Deloitte’s global WorldClass ambition of reaching 100 million people by 2030 with our Bermuda and Caribbean regional contribution aimed at impacting 85,000 lives by 2030. We are committed to achieving it through our continuous collaboration with local institutions and investing our people’s time, providing volunteers and donating towards supporting education for the youth, building financial and entrepreneurial skills for women, and technology education for all age groups. We are continuously building direct programs and collaborating with NGOs, schools, and charity institutions to help various groups of our society develop necessary skills for succeeding in life with quality education and accessible opportunities.

Engaging our ecosystems

As of FY24, we have affected 35,500 lives through our numerous initiatives, collaborations and volunteering.

The aim of the Future Build program is to empower secondary and tertiary students through career development and life skills with workshops conducted by our professionals. Topics covered by these sessions include communication skills, ethics, and goal setting.

By integrating real-world issues, these discussions help students build important life skills that instill a professional work ethic and aim for a career that aligns with their values, interests and skills.

Deloitte participates annually as a Platinum Sponsor of the Bermuda End-to-End. This event is a pillar of Bermuda’s charitable sector and sees over 2,000 participants set foot to Bermuda’s roads to raise money for a select number of non-profits.

We have a long-standing partnership with Literacy Is For Everyone ‘LIFE’, a non-profit organization dedicated to significantly increasing child and adult literacy levels across the Cayman Islands through a range of programs and initiatives. Our people volunteer time during the workweek to read to the children enrolled in our signature WorldClass program, Thrive by Five.

The program is sponsored annually by Deloitte and implemented by a dedicated team at LIFE, and is aimed at building a solid foundation in literacy for 0-5-year-old children from underserved preschools in the Cayman Islands. It also provides training and development for educators and workshops for parents, offering a holistic approach to supporting early years literacy and developmental skills.
