Michael is a seasoned transfer pricing economics and tax law practitioner with over 20 years of experience in delivering successful advisory outcomes for clients, and has over 10 years APAC experience.
Michael advises clients on value chain alignment projects that deal with international tax, transfer pricing and valuations issues, as well as tax policy, TP risk management and audit defense matters.
Previously, Michael worked as a Senior Advisor at the OECD within the Tax Treaty and Transfer Pricing Unit. He led aspects of the work on the tax aspects of the digital economy, including Amount A, Amount B and Pillar Two, as well as some other OECD transfer pricing projects such as the COVID-19 guidance. Michael also led the regional transfer pricing practice for Baker McKenzie as a Partner, and worked in the Big 4.
Michael holds an MSc (Distinction) in Economics, is a Chartered Tax Advisor (UK), and has been independently recognized as a “Highly Regarded” transfer pricing practitioner in ITR World Transfer Pricing. He regularly speaks at conferences and is invited by governments to consult on tax policy matters.
