Clayton Chuah

Clayton is a Director in the Actuarial & Insurance Solutions practice at Deloitte. He has extensive actuarial and risk management expertise spanning pricing, valuation, model validations, and enterprise risk management. Working with the largest international life reinsurers in Bermuda, Clayton has experience working under multiple reporting standards including US GAAP, IFRS, and Solvency II. Clayton has also established himself as a subject matter expert for regulatory and solvency requirements in Bermuda, working closely with the regulators and reinsurers to interpret the reporting guidelines, license new insurance entities, and serve as Approved Actuary for numerous life insurers on the island. 

Prior to joining Deloitte, Clayton held multiple roles in a large global life insurer for nine years. Clayton has a strong understanding of IFRS and the CALM methodology for valuating liabilities in Canada. In the model risk governance role, he helped establish review and monitoring frameworks for advanced analytics models and IFRS 17 implementation on Moody’s AXIS.
