Reporting is fundamental to Deloitte’s business. From the assurance services that Deloitte practitioners provide to clients to the research and insights our organization publishes across industries and regions, the importance of reporting is deeply ingrained in our organization. Our purpose is to make an impact that matters.
We recognize the need to be transparent about our impact—not just the ways in which we affect Deloitte clients through the services provided,
but also the ways in which we impact the economy, the environment, our people, and human rights more broadly across our activities and business relationships.
Deloitte in the Caribbean and Bermuda has been carbon neutral for all Scope 1, 2, 3 GHG emissions, i.e., total emissions from operations, business travel and purchases of goods and services, with investments made to Biodiversity projects, renewable energy projects and rainforest restorations.

Sustainability Highlights
Bahamas
Our office has implemented a ban on single-use plastics in office and we have made a complete switch to LED lighting. Temperature control policies and upgraded AC inverter equipment were also implemented towards overall energy efficiency.
Barbados
As we continued advancing toward net-zero, we outfitted our company fleet with hybrid vehicles to reduce the use of gasoline.
Bermuda
We implemented a ban on single-use plastics in office. We will continue to use more environmentally friendly, non-plastic, compostable and reusable alternatives. For offsite events, we provide environmentally friendly alternatives for food and beverages. With overall energy efficiency as the aim, temperature control policies were instated, and upgraded AC inverter equipment, energy-efficient light fixtures and light bulbs were installed throughout the office building.
British Virgin Islands
As part of our WorldClimate net-zero goals, not only did we continue to embed sustainability in our operations through more efficient use of energy and material, but also focused on hosting more sustainable events. Where possible, we applied the reduce, reuse, and recycle motto in our actions with materials reuse, waste sorting and even using live succulent plans as gift giveaways for attendees at one of our corporate events to discourage the creation of waste.
Cayman Islands
We are committed to making responsible choices that complement our WorldClimate objectives. Our relocation to a LEEDS-certified building aligns with our goal of operating green and sustainably.
Trinidad
Through our internal zero-waste training, we empower our people to maximize the use of products and consider the environmental and social impact of our operational decisions. Physical upgrades were also implemented; airconditioning units were upgraded and energy efficient lighting was installed throughout the office building towards overall energy efficiency.
Our Caribbean contribution to lives impacted is a goal of 85,000 lives by 2030 and in FY2023 we have attained 43% of this goal.
We are committed to a 10-year Societal Investment figure of US$15, 242, 926. In FY2023, our societal investment was US$2, 177, 504.
