Based in Calgary, Emeldah is a Manager in Deloitte's Strategy, Risk & Transactions practice, specializing in valuation and modelling. She brings over twelve years of combined industry and advisory experience spanning mine operations, technical due diligence, valuations, metal accounting, and operational transformation across the mining, metals, and energy sectors.
Emeldah is a Mineral Resources and Reserves review specialist, leading technical due diligence engagements across base metals, precious metals, and, with growing emphasis, critical minerals. Her work spans metal accounting reviews, life-of-asset assessments, on-site inventory validations, and the authorship of technically defensible reports that support audit, investor, and regulatory decisions. She applies recognized industry standards, including NI 43-101, JORC Code (2012), SAMREC, and CIM guidelines, to ensure her reviews are rigorous, transparent, and compliant.
Prior to Deloitte, Emeldah spent approximately seven years at Imperial Oil's Kearl Oil Sands Project, where she progressed through roles in mine reclamation planning, short-range mine planning, senior mine design, and mine performance engineering, gaining hands-on operational, planning, and optimization experience in one of Canada's largest mining operations.
Emeldah holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining from Laurentian University and is a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with APEGA.
