Deloitte named a global leader in Worldwide Managed Security Services by IDC

News release

NEW YORK, NY, USA, 29 September 2020 — Deloitte has been named a worldwide leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Managed Security Services 2020 Vendor Assessment (doc# US46235320, September 2020).

“Deloitte has a breadth of cybersecurity offerings globally, spanning cyber strategy, implementation, consulting, and managed detect and respond capabilities. With over 2,000 employees focussed around managed security services, Deloitte's cybersecurity portfolio offers compliance to complexity and onto resilience,” noted Martha Vazquez, Senior Research Analyst, Security Services at IDC, and author of the report. “Deloitte's comprehensive suite of solutions cover every aspect of cyber-risk management.”

IDC defines managed security services (MSS) as, "round-the-clock remote management or monitoring of IT security functions delivered via remote security operations centers (SOCs)."

“At the heart of our Detect and Respond solutions is sophisticated monitoring technology, advanced analytics, and human intelligence that help Deloitte clients detect, analyse and contain threats before they disrupt business,” says Emily Mossburg, Deloitte Global Cyber Leader. “Deloitte Cyber’s portfolio of managed security services extends well beyond that of our competitors. The breadth of our services span across an organisation’s security needs including cloud, application, IoT and Industrial Control System (ICS) security and identity management because threat monitoring isn’t the only security concern that they need help to operate.”

On the vendor landscape, “IDC studied 17 organisations that offer MSS across the globe and surveyed over 20 customers using their services in 2020. Evaluated vendors provide global capabilities, and specific services and criteria must be met to have qualified for this vendor assessment.”

“Drawing from our experience serving more than 80% of Fortune Global 500 companies, Deloitte possesses the breadth and depth of experience, industry expertise, and ecosystems to deliver flexible and customised solutions to clients,” says Donna Glass, Global Risk Advisory Leader. “We’re proud to be named a leader in the MSS category by the IDC MarketScape. Embedding cybersecurity into business strategy and digital transformation is a critical step for organisations to ensure success in a cyber-powered future. Connecting trust, resilience and security allows them to shape a responsible business that can sustain and grow in today’s increasingly unpredictable world.”
