John R. Tweardy

John sits at the heart of this convergence, driving transformational change and unlocking the value of technology for C-suite clients, sports organizations, board members, and shareholders.  John serves as the Managing Partner and overall practice leader for Deloitte Sports globally and the lead delivery partner for the International Olympic Committee and Olympic and Paralympic Games. In these roles, he strives to co-create value for franchises, leagues, clubs, institutions, federations, and for the Olympic and Paralympic Movements through Deloitte's global capabilities, ecosystems and secure enterprise solutions—including the new Deloitte Events Platform, Fan Data Platform, AI and Data, ConvergeSport, and many more.

Over his 25+ year career, John has held roles as the CTO for Deloitte Consulting LLP's Strategy and Analytics (S&A) Portfolio and the Technology Strategy practice leader. In both roles, he helped clients re-imagine the relationship between technology and business by architecting integrated strategies, models, platforms, eco-systems, and capabilities that enable business transformation and enhance Deloitte’s internal capabilities to drive growth and impact. 

John has published thought leadership pieces on AI, digital transformation, cloud, enterprise agility, and more recently on fan engagement in sports and major sports events.

John is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He now lives in Lausanne, Switzerland with his wife and their three children.
