David is a Risk Advisory Partner at Deloitte focusing on climate change, natural hazards and their management. David brings over 25 years of climate change adaptation and environment management expertise, and has significant experience undertaking risk assessments at a variety of scales and using these to underpin adaptation planning.
David works with clients to support them to establish appropriate governance and supportive structures and processes to enable effective risk management. He has developed a variety of bespoke tools and resources to underpin risk assessment by various sectors and his teams have worked to deliver risk assessments for a variety of clients including all levels of government. As an accomplished workshop facilitator and project manager, David has led multidisciplinary teams to develop state adaptation plans, local government adaptation plans and risk assessments for business and industry. He is particularly focused on supporting a move to implementation of adaptation actions.
David is also a Non-Executive Director of Green Cross Australia, a not-for-profit organisation supporting Australian communities to increase their resilience to natural disasters and climate change.
