The Mergermarket European M&A Awards 2024 once again honoured the most outstanding M&A advisors in Europe. Deloitte Austria was presented with the “Financial Adviser of the Year Austria” award for the fifth time.
Vienna/London, 2nd December 2024 – After 2019, Deloitte was able to secure first place in the M&A advisory category in Austria for the fifth time this year. This places Deloitte Austria on a par with award winners such as Goldman Sachs, Rothschild and JP Morgan. The expert jury considered the number of transactions, their complexity and the strategic added value that the advisory service created for the companies involved. The ability to develop innovative approaches for challenging M&A processes and to successfully implement them in collaboration with clients was a particularly important factor.
The awards were presented this year in front of more than 250 international guests at the Natural History Museum in London. The Financial Advisory team, represented by Thomas Lahmer and Ewald Pistolnig, accepted the award on behalf of Deloitte Austria.
“Last year, we were able to support the most M&A transactions in Austria for the 19th time in a row. This is another significant achievement by our Financial Advisory team and reaffirms our commitment to excellence”,
states Albert Hannak, Partner in the Financial Advisory division at Deloitte Austria. His partner colleagues Bernhard Hudernik and Thomas Göritzer also express pride in the Deloitte team's performance.
“We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to our clients at Deloitte for placing their trust in us. Our long-standing collaboration with Austria's leading companies has been instrumental in achieving this success”,
emphasises Orsolya Hegedüs, C&I Leader and Partner at Deloitte Austria.
With a team of over 90 professionals, Deloitte boasts the largest corporate finance advisory team in Austria. According to the volume of transactions, Deloitte has been Austria's leading M&A adviser for 19 consecutive years. The firm has successfully advised numerous companies and a significant number of major cross-border M&A transactions during this period.
