Haruko Nagayama

Deloitte Asia Pacific Chair and Deloitte Global Board Member

Haruko is Deloitte Asia Pacific Chair and Deloitte Global Board Member. She previously served as the chair of Deloitte Japan.

A registered Japanese certified public accountant (CPA), Haruko has more than 25 years of audit experience. Throughout her career, she has primarily served publicly listed companies with extensive global operations, giving her significant exposure to the complexities of international business and financial reporting.

In addition to her client-facing work, Haruko has served in Deloitte Japan’s audit quality management function. She has also contributed to the development of accounting standards through Japan’s accounting standard-setting body and is the author of publications related to audit quality and accounting standards.

Haruko received a BA in economics from the University of Tokyo. She is a member of the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA) .
