What impact will you make?
As Manager Accounting & Reporting Assurance you are responsible for both technical and commercial activities. You also manage the engagement portfolio, assess the project feasibility and risk and determine the control strategy. Together with the Audit Director and Partner you are responsible for the technical execution of contracts. You perform managerial and advisory work for clients and also conduct consulting and special audit assignments. Furthermore, you are (partly) responsible for compliance with technical rules, procedures and quality standards and will assist with tender processes, marketing, training and other initiatives.
How do you do this?
- Operate as experienced team member of Accounting & Reporting Assurance assignments;
- Lead the audit of complex items in the (consolidated) financial statements and determine a major part of the audit strategy;
- Leverage your knowledge to participate in discussions with clients, determine their needs from a business perspective, examine their alignment with financial reporting standards and advise them on the opportunities offered by these standards;
- Write and review position papers in response to complex reporting issues (IFRS/NL GAAP) that our clients are facing;
- Support clients in the process of financial reporting with audit readiness assistance and the preparation/review of (draft) annual accounts;
- Auditing the complex items in the financial statements;
- Review internal control, in order to provide support in rationalizing or improving the control framework.

- (Post) Master's degree in Accountancy, Controlling, Finance, or Economics;
- A completed post-graduate accounting certification study (e.g., RA/AA, CPA, or equivalent);
- 6+ years of relevant work experience in audit firms;
- Good knowledge of IFRS; NL GAAP and US GAAP considered a plus;
- Big4 experience is a plus;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English;
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to lead projects;
- Purpose driven and an eye for challenges related to sustainability, while making an impact that matters;
- Willingness to travel;
- Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills;
- Intrinsic motivation to learn from others; and
- The skills of a team player.
