What impact will you make?

As Consultant you play a critical role during the audit to ensure the financial statements are accurate, reliable, and comply with relevant regulations. You also contribute to improving financial and operational processes in the organizations you audit and advise management thereon. For the less experienced colleagues in your Audit team, you are the go-to person to coach them, so that they can perform to the maximum capacity and learn the audit process. We work for different clients spanning the Caribbean and, in the Netherlands, you will gain invaluable international experience and elevate your professional growth. You are also the first point of contact for the client during the execution of the audit.

 

How do you do this?

  • Drafting the service plan for the client, together with the Partners, Directors and Managers;
  • Identifying problem areas and risks at the client and provide concrete advice;
  • Determining the Audit strategy to a large extent;
  • Taking responsibility for the input required for internal and external reports for the client;
  • Auditing the complex items in the financial statements;
  • Reviewing the financial statements and ensuring that they meet all requirements.

For the Consultant Accounting & Reporting Assurance position, the following qualifications are required:

  • A completed (Post) Master's degree in Accountancy, Controlling, Finance, or Economics;
  • In the process of completing/ completed post-graduate accounting certification study (e.g., RA/AA, CPA, or equivalent);
  • At least 3 years of experience in Audit or a similar role;
  • Big4 experience is a plus;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English;
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to lead projects;
  • Willingness to travel;
  • Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills;
  • Intrinsic motivation to learn from others; and
  • The skills of a team player.
