Gautam Kapoor

Gautam is a Cyber Partner in Australia and has more than 22 years’ experience in the fields of cybersecurity, information security, data protection, and information risk management. Gautam is a mechanical engineer with an MBA in information management and holds CISSP, CRISC, CISA, and ISO 27001 certifications. He has worked on multiple projects in India, Australia, Singapore, China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, and South Korea.

Gautam leads the Digital Identity Practice for Asia Pacific and large cyber relationships in Australia with multiple clients in the FSI, TMT, and C&IP sectors. 

Gautam’s area of focus include identity, access management, access governance, privileged identity management, customer identity management, information security strategy, enterprise security architecture, data leakage prevention, cloud security, vulnerability management, and data privacy.

He has helped key clients in the financial services, telecom, and technology sectors in establishing information security strategies and transformation programs, running IT security operations, and implementing information security products such as IAM, DLP, information rights management, and SIEM. He has also helped clients in the cards and payments sector create a secure environment by consulting on the secure payment process and PCI DSS implementation.

Gautam has previously served as a CISO and Regional Information Security Officer leading teams across Asia. He has worked on numerous projects covering areas such as DLP implementation, IAM, IS strategy development, and governance and controls implementation for entities in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and South Korea.
