What societal issue are you most passionate about?

How do you make an impact in society & the world?

  • As a Strategy Consultant at Deloitte, I would like to accelerate the aviation industry's efforts toward social issues through Project/PD and eminence activities in the next five years.
  • Timely social issues facing the airline industry are decarbonization/circular economy and gender equality. While the WEF and European/US industry bodies are accelerating their efforts towards 2050 carbon neutral, especially Japan is lagging a little behind. Regarding gender equality, although Japanese airlines have had a high percentage of female employees, the portion of female executives is relatively lower than the global standard.
  • I would like to spend the next five years advising management on these social issues, starting from the Japanese market first and eventually enhancing to the global field by offering insights based on leading cases inside and outside the industry.

What are you most looking forward to at the OYW Summit this year?

  • I would like to leverage future experience at One Young World, such as hearing actual experiences of people/activists who face social issues in real life and knowledge sharing with members from governments/leading companies, in order to enhance my expertise in CSV/Sustainability strategy consulting and also contribute to higher/secondary education in the area of sustainability.
