Hope Davidson – Deloitte NSE, United Kingdom

Consulting – Monitor Deloitte

I joined Deloitte UK on the graduate scheme in 2018 and quickly realized that I wanted to ensure that every piece of work I did had a positive impact on not only clients but also society and the planet. I subsequently found myself in the Net Zero Transformation team in Monitor Deloitte where I now support clients to transform their businesses to thrive in a net zero economy.

“Do we settle for the world as it is, or do we work for the world as it should be?”

-Barack Obama

Alongside my client work, I have delivered a number of social impact initiatives such as hosting a ‘Slow Fashion’ pop up shop in our London office to educate colleagues on circular fashion and running a business insights scheme for local sixth form students on sustainability. I studied Classics at university and love to swim in my spare time.

What societal issue are you most passionate about?

How do you make an impact in society & the world?

  • I believe that Deloitte has a pivotal role to play in helping large organisations use our scale and talent to address the climate emergency faster, and so climate change is currently the issue I spend the most time on. However, I am passionate about the fact that net zero means nothing if it is not designed with social equality and justice front and centre. I strive to ensure that all client work I deliver is inclusive and empathetic to all parts of society to ensure that any strategy I design has a lasting, positive impact on everyone.

What are you most looking forward to at the OYW Summit this year?

  • As the future leaders of Deloitte and other organizations, our cohort has a critical role to play in shaping the future of not only our firm but wider society. I am looking forward to meeting and hearing from a diverse range of voices who are passionate about such a huge variety of societal issues. On top of this, I would like to learn from other young changemakers about how to amplify the voices and passions of junior talent to empower my peers to build the firm we want to see in the future.
