Deloitte auttaa leikkaamaan IT-menoja

Tutkimusorganisaatio Forrester arvioi tutkimuksessa Reducing The Costs of IT — Views From Consultancies (lokakuu 2009) Deloitten osaamisen syvimmäksi ja laajimmaksi IT-kustannusten vähentämisessä. Ainoastaan Deloittella todettiin olevan kattava osaaminen kaikilta IT-kustannusten leikkauksen osa-alueilta.

Deloitten vahvuuksia kuvailtiin 21 asiantuntijaorganisaatiota kattaneessa tutkimuksessa muun muassa seuraavasti:

"Deloitte - Complete and innovative IT and business consulting services plus factory approach to transformation with depth and breadth in all aspects of governance, benchmark data, packaged service offerings and non-IT asset capabilities.

Secure participation of HR and other support groups. The elimination of people or significant changes to jobs requires participation from internal groups, HR among others. Historically, consulting firms have had trouble integrating these skills. This appears to be changing, however, as some full-service consultancies such as Deloitte typically include HR, relevant regulatory and legal consideration, audit, and accounting expertise as part of transformation engagements.

Non-IT assets. Cost reduction may require legal, HR, and other expertise. Historically, internal barriers have limited the effectiveness of consultancies in integrating these practices. However, client demand has led to changes. Deloitte, for example, typically includes experts from consulting practices in tax (e.g., outsourcing and joint ventures), audit (e.g., forensic accounting and business intelligence), and HR (e.g., compensation and change management) in their cost reduction engagements."
