Mark, 46, is an experienced audit partner with 22 years experience in the media sector. He leads Deloitte’s London based media audit practice and is a member of the UK firms Media Executive.
Mark is unusual in that he has also worked outside the profession including most recently as CFO at Eurostar and prior to that in financial roles at other media businesses notably The Economist Group. Having worked outside the profession in senior finance roles, Mark has direct personal experience of the challenges faced by finance teams and has proved adept at adapting to and succeeding in a wide variety of situations and challenges.
Mark works with a wide variety clients in the media sector in non audit and audit roles: film and entertainment with NBC Universal and Entertainment One (an independent content owner and distributor); The UK’s biggest Theatre Group, Ambassador Entertainment; Newspapers and magazines with The Daily Mail Group and the UK/international subsidiaries of Hearst Magazines; plus business to business content with RBI (a division of Reed Elsevier) and TV where Mark works with Channel 4 and ITN. In addition, Mark has an interest in sports clients and he currently looks after The Football Association and the European activities of the NFL.
Outside of mainstream audit and transaction work, Mark leads Deloitte’s work as vote scrutineers for the various prestigious BAFTA film and TV awards.
Mark has an MBA from Manchester Business School.
