About AIS

The actuarial practice was founded in 1986 as Southern Africa Actuarial Consultants and subsequently acquired by Deloitte in 2002. Our positioning within Deloitte both locally and internationally is designed to ensure the provision of premier actuarial services with a professional reputation for outstanding technical quality and thought leadership.

The practice has experienced steady growth in each year of its history, both in terms of its client base and its own resources and has been one of the leading insurance practices in South Africa for some time.

Having grown into one of the leading professional actuarial practices in South Africa, Deloitte Actuarial & Insurance Solutions (“AIS”) retains its identity and focus, whilst providing seamless access to the vast range of accounting and consulting services of a global financial services firm.
Deloitte AIS aims to enrich our client service proposition, support the development of existing products and enable rapid and comprehensive response to the changing needs of the industry.
