Deloitte Western Cape attends Accelerate Cape Town’s Annual General Meeting
Deloitte Western Cape is the corporate sponsor of Accelerate Cape Town (ACT) - a business Think Tank which brings together business leaders and key stakeholders in the Western Cape region to help develop and implement a long-term vision for sustainable, inclusive economic growth.
On Tuesday, 20 August, regional leader Marius Alberts, director Wendy Smith and marketing manager Tessa Philp attended the ACT annual AGM along with other ACT members and prominent business leaders in the Western Cape. The meeting took place at the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront to be in line with the ACT theme of growing Cape Town’s reputation as a global centre for science and learning and included keynote speaker a Derek Hanekom, the National Minister for Science and Technology.
Throughout the year Deloitte Western Cape has supported various initiatives led by ACT including hosting their regular Members and Thought Leaders meetings. On Friday, 11 October, Deloitte Western Cape will be hosting the next Thought Leaders breakfast at the Cape Town office, with guest speaker Dr Mamphela Ramphela.
