Deloitte is involved in the following enterprise development projects:

African Dream Trust
The African Dream Trust (ADT) is public benefit organisation actively involved in creating wealth and restoring dignity in the marginalised community of Bophelong. Their vision is to have a national impact, launching thousands of unemployed South Africans into successful businesses and creating vibrant local economies in marginalised areas. Deloitte has contributed to this initiative by setting up the initial financial management and accounting system, guiding the entrepreneurs in the use of systems and providing ongoing mentoring in financial management. Deloitte has also provided the entrepreneurs with a user friendly enterprise development toolkit.

Kabo
Kabo is a unique BEE Company which has principals with an extensive track record of managing large companies. It is an investment company which focuses on companies that are looking to grow, expand and develop. Kabo provides business growth assistance, capital optimization services and BEE implementation. Its’ ambition is to create not only a growth phenomenon in the investee companies, but also to create sustainable transformation changes to create opportunities for the development and progression of black talent. Deloitte has provided BEE advisory services, tax, legal and consulting services to Kabo over the past three years.


E² seeks to grow the South African economy and to reduce unemployment in the country by facilitating the establishment of successful business and social entrepreneurship ventures. E² provides venture capital to qualifying graduates of the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation who decide to start their own businesses and grants and, in some cases, endowments to promising social entrepreneurial ventures. Deloitte supports 
E² by rendering professional services at a discounted rate.

Sonke Skills Solution
Sonke is a partnership between Deloitte Consulting, Yvonne Mhinga and The Learning Alliance Trust which focuses mainly on mentoring, coaching and supporting of learners on learnership initiatives. Services offered by Sonke include support relating to formal training, workplace training, advice and support relating to career development, study assistance and guidance, special attention to disabled learners in the workplace environment and counselling on an interpersonal and intrapersonal level.

Succeed programme
Succeed Campaign in partnership with Business Women’s Association (BWA) and Business Partners assist women entrepreneurs in their small businesses. The ambition of the succeed business is to increase the percentage of women-owned businesses that remain in business. Succeed uses business advisory skills from senior leaders in Deloitte in finance, sales, marketing, operations, human resources, legal and information technology. Our business skills are used to grow and nurture the enterprises.

The SAICA Hope Factory
The Hope Factory aims to dramatically impact and improve the lives of previously disadvantaged unemployed South Africans, by providing them with an opportunity to be trained and empowered, and thus become financially productive and successful entrepreneurs. More than 460 unemployed people have directly benefited from The Hope Factory’s job and wealth creation efforts. The Hope Factory provides a holistic fifteen week training programme in technical skills, business skills and life skills. Deloitte contributed financially to Hope Factory to assist in funding the entrepreneurial development funnel.

Raizcorp
Raizcorp is a well-established and innovative business incubator that offers all you need know to grow your business, from infrastructure and administrative services through business management expertise and ongoing generation of sales leads. Deloitte made a grant contribution to Raizcorp to fund Sydney Courier Services, a service provider to Deloitte, to benefit from the 12 month programme.

SmartXchange
SmartXchange is an incubator that houses nearly 40 BEE SMMEs employing a total of 209 people. SmartXchange has invested heavily in building the capacity of the SMMEs and their employees to ensure technical and business expertise is achieved. Deloitte conducted master classes for the business stream of the SMME development plan and provided funding for the 1st prize for the ICT company of the year award in the last financial year.

Hot Platinum
Hot Platinum is a technology company focused on the development and manufacture of innovative induction technology for the processing and analysis of base and precious metals. Deloitte audits Hot Platinum at a discounted rate as part of its enterprise development contribution.

Endeavor
Endeavor is a non-profit organisation that identifies and supports innovative, high-growth entrepreneurs in emerging markets around the world. They assist visionary entrepreneurs with daring ideas, who are transforming their communities, their industries, and their countries. Endeavor helps to create jobs, propel economies, and cultivate rising leaders and role models. Deloitte entered into a strategic partnership with Endeavor to enhance the support and growth of a wide spectrum of promising and established South African enterprises, with a special focus on the inclusion of entrepreneurs who are part of previously disadvantaged communities in South Africa. Stoned Cherrie is one of the enterprises that has benefited from the Strategy & Innovation team in Consulting.
