- Loan pricing increases in Q2 2012 - After decreasing over the prior six months, new issue leveraged loan pricing increased steadily month-over-month in Q2 2012.
- Middle market LBO purchase price multiples regain momentum in Q2 2012 - Following a series of quarter-over-quarter increases that began in 2011, the average purchase price multiple of middle market LBO transactions decreased in Q1 2012. The market appeared to regain momentum in Q2 2012 as the average purchase price multiple increased to 8.3x.
- Middle market new issue landscape changing - Though LBO- and acquisition-related activity still represented the majority of middle market issuances in the first half of the year, these categories lost share to refinancing activity in the second quarter.
