Profile
Martin is a Managing Director with Deloitte Corporate Finance LLC (“DCF”) and is a key leader in the Capital Advisory group within the practice. In this role, he works with clients to assist them in securing new capital for business growth, restructuring existing debt and providing consultative advice regarding debt/equity structures. Martin has over 27 years of general, secured and asset-based lending experience.
Prior to joining DCF, Martin served as chief executive officer of an international organization dedicated to asset valuation, monetization, investment and advisory services. He successfully started and directly managed three asset-based lending (ABL) groups for a large financial institution, including a retail finance unit, as well as a Canadian ABL unit. In addition, as the founder of a commercial finance organization, Martin managed a team that sourced and monitored commercial finance and debtors-in-possession (DIP) loans, as well as second lien, distressed and enterprise value loans. Martin also has experience in collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and has been involved in distressed and near par debt trading.
Martin is well-known in the commercial finance industry. He has served as a director of the Commercial Finance Association for many years and has also been an active member in various roles and committees, including its Executive Committee.
