Mark is the Managing Partner in the British Virgin Islands firm and is responsible for all services provided to the firm’s clients.
Mark works closely with client management in planning and organizing the firm’s services to ensure they are performed in the most efficient and responsive way. His understanding of cross-border issues and risks, particularly those related to special purpose vehicles, ensures that a critical and valuable perspective is delivered to the clients of the firm.
After qualifying with Deloitte in the United Kingdom in 1982, and having spent 3 years in South Africa and 4 years in our Cayman Islands office, Mark joined the Deloitte & Touche BVI firm in 1995. Accordingly, he brings a wide range of knowledge and expertise in dealing with the offshore entities and issues concerning trade and business in the Caribbean.
Mark is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a BVI Insolvency Practitioner.
Ron is the lead audit partner in the British Virgin Islands, responsible for a varied portfolio of audit clients with an emphasis on the offshore financial services industry. He also services clients in the telecommunications, real estate development and corporate administration industries.
Ron has developed specific expertise in the audit and reporting requirements of offshore entities (hedge funds, fund managers, captive insurance) and in particular, the application of various accounting principles (IFRS and US GAAP).
He also advises clients on the form and content of fund offering documents and financial statement disclosure requirements under various accounting principles and offshore stock exchange listings.
Ron, who is from the British Virgin Islands, joined the BVI firm in December 1989 after earning a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of the West Indies (Barbados). He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and a Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
