In 2002, Deloitte entered the developing market of Uzbekistan. The firm’s key mission over the last decade has been to win the leadership of the audit and consulting sectors of the financial services industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan. We are now delighted to acknowledge that this mission has been accomplished: over half of the country’s commercial banks are named amongst our clients. As set forth in the firm’s approved strategy for the next four years, Deloitte will increase its presence on the Uzbek market, taking key positions in all sectors.

Special attention should be paid to the development of each project, including a detailed study of the clients’ needs, and the attraction of talented employees. The Tashkent office of the firm employs 30 highly qualified specialists, each ready to provide services related to auditing financial statements in compliance with international standards, transforming financial statements prepared in accordance with local standards in order to ensure their compliance with international standards, consulting and tax audit etc.

Changing the world

We are dedicated to improving the world around us, and we understand the implications of everything we do. Every year, Deloitte people donate money to organise a memorable New Year’s party for children undergoing long-term hospital treatment. In recent years we have organised performances for children at the cancer detection centre, the AIDS centre, the psychoneurological clinic, and the paediatric unit of the National Haematology and Blood Donation Centre. In addition to our New Year’s charitable acts, Deloitte implements various social projects. In this regard, Deloitte funded the publication of an album dedicated to the 80th anniversary of a children’s art school. We are doing everything we can to support talented children from the art school, which was created on the basis of an orphanage. Relying on common spiritual and ethical values, we set the standards that are followed by many other companies.

Looking to the future

Over the past 10 years, Deloitte has significantly extended its presence in Uzbekistan, constantly observing the principles of fair competition and corporate ethics. The well-coordinated teamwork of the Deloitte Global Network and the regional office in the Caspian region has opened doors for a number of projects.
