Deloitte’s Federal Innovation Center Taps into Salesforce to Help Transform Government for the Social and Mobile Era
Washington, D.C. May 22, 2013: Deloitte announced today that it is expanding its global alliance with salesforce.com, the enterprise cloud computing company, with the launch of new capabilities for the Federal Innovation Center. The announcement brings together industry-leading practices and innovative technology solutions to accelerate government transformation.
“The Federal Innovation Center affiliation will bring to the public sector the same success we have had with salesforce.com on the commercial side by bringing additional go-to-market resources and solutions tailored for the federal, state and local government sectors,” said Robin Lineberger, chief executive officer, Deloitte Federal Government Services, Deloitte LLP. “The benefits the U.S. government and public agencies stand to gain from secure enterprise cloud computing are enormous.”
The Federal Innovation Center affiliation includes two primary efforts:
“In the face of automatic cuts and growing citizen demands, governments around the world can no longer afford to do business as usual,” said Vivek Kundra, executive vice president of Emerging Markets, salesforce.com. “We are excited to join with Deloitte Federal to transform how governments harness mobility to connect with constituents in entirely new ways.”
“By connecting multiple stakeholders and data stores across agencies, Deloitte and salesforce.com will be helping CIOs become mission enablers for their agencies. Through our leading practices, methodologies, and road maps developed for Salesforce, Deloitte and salesforce.com will help government agencies reduce back-office redundancies and focus on their core missions.” said Paul Clemmons, principal and Global salesforce.com alliance leader, Deloitte Consulting LLP.
