Rich Baich, principal, Deloitte & Touche LLP, is a leading security and privacy practitioner for cyber threat and vulnerability. He has led multinational teams in both the private and public sector, advising global organizations to effectively and efficiently balance risk, technology and data management decisions with data protection, regulatory compliance issues, privacy and security controls.
Rich’s operational experience includes designing, assessing and delivering FCRA violation remediation strategy. As former chief information security officer (CISO), he held enterprise-wide responsibility for the architecture, design, risk, business continuity and implementation of information and technology security. In addition, he served as the organization’s official executive representative to internal and external customers, audit, regulatory and law enforcement on information security matters. He has multiple industry certifications, such as the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), National Telecommunications and Information Systems Security (NSTISSI 4011) and the NSA Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Assessment Methodology (IAM) Certification.
Rich authored “Winning as a CISO” which is a security executive leadership guidebook. He did his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy and is a Naval War College graduate. In addition, he holds a degree in master of business administration and Master of Science in management in financial management from the Maryland University.
