Elections leave familiar tax policy divisions intact for lame duck, 113th Congress – The November 6 elections left control of the White House, the House of Representatives, and the Senate unchanged, so it remains unclear how the president and lawmakers will resolve differences over the expiring Bush-era tax cuts and other significant tax policy issues as they head into the post-election lame duck session and anticipate the start of a new Congress in 2013.
