- Boxer, Kerry unveil sweeping climate-change legislation in the Senate – After months of hearings and closed-door meetings, Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Chair Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., and Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chair John Kerry, D-Mass., have introduced climate-change legislation intended to reduce greenhouse gas emissions between 2012 and 2050 through an economy-wide cap-and-trade program.
