- Congress faces extensive to-do list as legislative session enters home stretch – Following their month-long summer recess, Congress returns to Washington on September 8 to resume work on their most controversial priorities – health care and climate change – and address expiring tax provisions and an estate tax fix before the close of the 2009 legislative session.
