- Senate delays health care vote as Finance continues closed-door negotiations – The pace of health care reform efforts in the Senate slowed significantly this week as Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., abruptly declared July 23 that the full Senate will not vote on health care legislation before the August recess as previously hoped.
