- Medical device excise tax repeal clears Ways & Means Committee – The House Ways and Means Committee approved legislation that would repeal the 2.3 percent excise tax on the sale of certain medical devices under section 4191 that was enacted as part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.
