- Medical device excise tax repeal clears Ways & Means Committee – The House Ways and Means Committee approved legislation that would repeal the 2.3 percent excise tax on the sale of certain medical devices under section 4191 that was enacted as part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.
- House to hold July vote on Bush tax cut extension, Cantor says – The House of Representatives will vote in July on legislation that would extend the Bush-era tax cuts for all taxpayers, according to a recent memorandum outlining the chamber’s summer agenda sent by Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., to House lawmakers.
