Meet Dmitri D. Shiry

Dmitri D ShiryDmitri has more than 29 years of business advisory, financial and tax experience, specializing in working with global corporations in the manufacturing and process industries. In addition to his client responsibilities, Dmitri also serves as the Deloitte LLP National Leader for Sales & Marketing. Other positions held include serving as the Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Treasurer of The Louis Berkman Company, a large privately owned manufacturing and investment company.

Dmitri received his B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration from Duquesne University. He served as an adjunct professor in Duquesne University’s MBA and MST programs from 1994 to 2005 and chaired the Business School’s Accounting Advisory Board from 2003 to 2005. Prior to his involvement at Duquesne, Dmitri served as an adjunct professor in Carnegie Mellon University’s Graduate School of Industrial Administration from 1988 to 1993. He recently completed the Executive Leadership Program at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Over the years, his civic and community involvement includes the American Red Cross Southwestern PA Chapter (Board of Directors & Executive Committee), Adagio Health (Vice Chairperson, Board of Directors, Chairperson- Pension Board of Trustees), Pennsylvania CPA Journal (Editorial Board and Contributor), The Pittsburgh Tax Club, Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the March of Dimes (Board of Directors), the Pittsburgh Symphony’s New Leadership Board (Vice-Chairperson) and Leadership Pittsburgh’s Class XII.
