James is a tax director in the Bermuda office of Deloitte & Touche Ltd. In addition to leading the Bermuda tax practice, James serves as the Foreign Account Compliance Act (FATCA) leader for the Caribbean and Bermuda Cluster (‘CBC’) and has gained valuable experience serving the financial services industry for over 15 years. Having worked with numerous global investment managers, commercial (re)insurers and captives, James has advised clients on the implications of FATCA, cross border transactions, business and financing structures and assisted clients with US and foreign tax reporting requirements.
Before joining Deloitte & Touche Ltd, James worked as the Vice President, Taxation for a large alternative asset management company located in Denver, Colorado.
James received his BS in accounting from Lake Superior State University and MS in business administration with a concentration in Taxation from Colorado State University. He is a certified public accountant in Colorado.
