Mark is a manager in the International and Merger and Acquisition Tax team based in Dubai and has been in the Middle East since August 2012.
Before joining the Dubai office Mark was based at Deloitte LLP in Guernsey and the Isle of Man, working as part of the Offshore Financial Services Tax team. He has worked with many financial services clients on the various aspects of taxation in jurisdictions including Germany, Guernsey and the U.K., covering retail banks, asset managers, and insurance companies. He is a former Inspector of Taxes for the U.K. tax authority and brings insight from the authorities’ point of view to projects, whilst is also a U.K. corporate and personal tax specialist. He has directed a number of Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) projects in the Middle East region, and leads a team with experience of financial services, tax reporting and corporate structures.
Mark is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) in the U.K.
