Peter Blatman is a principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP and is the leader of Deloitte’s Global Technology Advisory Services practice. He consults nationally and internationally with major government and corporate energy, financial services, health care, high-tech, retail, transportation, and telecommunications industry clients regarding the application of advanced technology to business systems development and business transformation. He has been involved in all phases of technology planning, development, and integration, from strategy through implementation. He has more than 30 years of experience in the field.
Peter’s primary focus is the alignment of business and information technology (IT) strategies. He has deep experience in IT strategy development, IT governance, IT portfolio management, premerger IT due diligence, and post-merger IT integration. He has worked with major national and international clients across multiple industries. His core belief is that the effective use of IT is critical to enabling and driving overall business performance.
Peter has authored numerous articles on IT strategy development. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences on the topic of improving the business value of IT. He received his bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics from Brown University, and a master’s degree in Computer Science and an MBA in Finance and Operations from the University of California at Berkeley.
