Meet John Peto

As the U.S. lead for the salesforce.com global alliance and a leader in Deloitte Consulting LLP’s Customer Solutions practice, John focuses on helping Fortune 500 companies transform the effectiveness of their sales, service and marketing functions through the implementation of new processes and supporting application, integration and data architectures. His 16 years of experience encompasses many aspects of solutions architecture design and large program leadership across the banking, insurance, technology, telecom and other industry sectors.
John’s experience with traditional, on-premise, package implementations, coupled with more than seven years specifically focused on application solutions such as Salesforce.com and Force.com, gives him a deep understanding of the opportunities, considerations and constraints of SaaS and PaaS architectures and how they can be utilized to dramatically improve business performance.
Some examples of John’s recent projects include:
- Assisting a regional bank improve customer experience and increase cross-sell and referral revenue by deploying a common process model and highly integrated architecture to its lines of business (retail banking, wealth management, commercial banking, insurance, mortgage, customer service and other groups). This was the first program completed by the bank that impacted its major lines of business, and resulted in the decommissioning of more than five legacy systems, specific to the lines of business.
- Helping the retirement arm of a major insurer increase sales growth and customer retention while improving operational efficiency through the design and implementation of new sales and service processes and target architecture. Services included the development of the initial business case, implementation roadmap, process models and end-to-end systems implementation and the associated deployment/adoption management activities. The president of the company described this project as the most effective and smoothest he had seen in his career.
A native of Vancouver, Canada, John has spent his 16-year tenure with Deloitte in multiple locations including San Francisco, Amsterdam, London, Seattle and New York serving clients in more than a dozen countries.
