Today, we meet David Sisk, our resident authority on Java Application Architecture. We sat down with him recently to see what he’s been up to.
What do you do at Deloitte?
I am a Director who works on Federal, State and Commercial Systems Integration projects.
What’s the most exciting part of your job?
Performance tuning and diagnostics is often exciting because there is a huge impact to the end-user and many folks find it to be an arcane art.
What are some tech accessories you travel with?
Smartphone, tablet and laptop for talking, entertainment and working. I am not really a gadget person; I view technology as a set of tools like hammers, saws and drills.

I started in software development in the 80s on the mainframe; the internet has surpassed anything I thought possible at that time, but I hoped we would have made space travel more of a reality.
