Meet David Sisk

Director, Deloitte Consulting LLP

As a Director for Deloitte Consulting LLP’s U.S. Technology Practice, David Sisk works across technology and industry sectors both at the strategic and tactical level. He leverages his 25 years of experience to serve his clients not only through his leadership, but also with his current, deep and relevant technical experience. David has extensive experience in the architecture, design, development and deployment of enterprise applications, focusing in the custom development area.

Because the software development industry is focused on the translation of the real world into a computer model of 1s and 0s, each step in this process can introduce errors and thus requires precise language. Each functional area uses different terms to communicate their intent and concerns, and word choice can make a big difference in the end result. David has focused his entire career in software development and understanding these nuances. His fascination with technology, depth and breadth of knowledge across software stacks and his familiarity with a variety of disciplines enable him to communicate effectively across functional areas and management levels, resulting in solutions with less ambiguity and error. This enables his clients to make more effective business decisions.

David earned his Masters in Management of Information Technology from the University of Virginia, and received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland University College, graduating Cum Laude.

Career Highlight

My proudest career moment occurred when a client was having significant system issues and referred to my efforts on their quarterly call with financial analysts. This increased the pressure on me and my team and when we effectively found the problems, I was proud, and relieved!
