Is Business Ready to Grow? How unified HCM and talent technology are influencing global business |
|
Improving top- and bottom-line performance has become the priority for senior business leaders and HR executives across all industries. Even though controlling costs remains a top concern companies are renewing their interest in innovation and R&D, expanding in global and new markets and using technology to accomplish their goals. What will be the role of HCM/Talent technology in this growth-oriented environment?
Deloitte’s recent study, Unified HCM and Talent Technology Survey Report, takes a closer look at how businesses are using HCM and talent technology to meet their growth goals. The survey was conducted in conjunction with Oracle Corporation in the spring of 2011. Over 130 corporate and HR leaders, representing a broad range of industries around the world, participated. Within the respondent group 45 percent represented large enterprises with revenues greater than $1 billion and the remaining represented small-to-medium-sized businesses with revenues less than $1 billion. Key findings include:
- Talent retention is the leading business challenge.
- Many organizations don’t have a plan for retaining talent.
- Talent management initiatives are a leadership priority – and an HR pain point.
- Cumbersome systems constrain HR effectiveness.
- HCM/Talent technology solutions are moving up the priority list.
