During this time, he has focused exclusively on helping companies grow. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in developing some of Monitor’s – and now Deloitte’s – core methodologies related to driving profitable topline growth for clients. He is based in Deloitte’s Boston office.

In the past, Geoff’s client work has included overhauling new product development systems to yield more valuable innovations; developing product launch and growth strategies in the life science, consumer products and chemicals industries; and inventing and commercializing new businesses for a variety of companies. For the past 15 years, Geoff’s area of specialty has been in helping clients embed innovation, sales and marketing excellence capabilities in their organizations. The nature of this work, founded upon Monitor’s topline-growth intellectual property, spans the domains of corporate strategy, product strategy development and execution, organizational structure, training and tools. He is a widely-sought after speaker and commentator on the subject of innovation and organic growth. His writing has frequently appeared in the Monitor Perspectives series and has been published in journals such as Marketing Management and Harvard Business Review.

Geoff appears to have made a career of consulting, although that was never the plan. “I’ve stayed in it for the people – my clients and colleagues have consistently been a mix of the most fascinating, sometimes perplexing and always challenging folks I could imagine having the pleasure to be around every day.” Geoff grew up in Canada and the UK and came to the United States for university. He received his B.A., with honors, in English literature and creative writing, from Dartmouth College. He also holds a MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was an honors student. He currently lives in Wellesley, Massachusetts, with his wife, Martha and four sons.
